UPB takes full responsibility for the design and construction of one of the most modern log sorting and sawmill facilities in Europe for Rettenmeier, significantly enhancing the company's existing infrastructure in Inčukalns, Latvia.
Sustainability and automatization is at the core of this project. It includes the integration of complex technologies that will increase Rettenmeier's sawing capacity to an impressive 1 million m³ of timber per year while promoting a more environmentally friendly production process. The project also includes the use of sustainable building materials, such as glulam beams for the roof structures.
In this project, Dzelzsbetons MB provides beams, columns, 1-layer and 3-layer walls, stair landings and spans, hollow-core slabs (HCS), filigree slabs, solid slabs and concrete foundations.
