The 34-floor high Clarion Hotel Draken is the tallest hotel building in Gothenburg, Sweden with UPB frame and facade structures, successfully implemented under our 3C concept (steel, concrete and glass). It's a great example of how effective and well-coordinated simultaneous installation of frame and facade can be, as we were able to ensure the assembly for both structures within one floor. As a result, this impressive, 34-floor landmark was closed in just 48 weeks.
The building’s superstructure is made of fully prefabricated concrete, including some very complex structural steel constructions, especially in the overhang parts on 6th and 32nd floor.
One of the hotel’s most distinctive features is its unitized façade, with the total area around 12 600 m2.
